Seating area for Nathan Phillips square, separated from the rest of the square by a small wall that can also be sat on. This creates a separate space within the larger space, while still not taking away the area for larger events, due to the fact that both elements can be used for seating

By adding a low and large stage like area it can be used as an assembly area. Since it would be low in height people could still see over the top of it and also use it to sit on and look out at the surrounding square. Also with added fountains in the pool it would make sure that scum does not appear on the water distracting from the beauty of the pool.

Using the exisiting overhead walkways creates revitalized views of the square as well as adding greenspace to connect the site with other rooftop greenspaces. A waterfall from the walkway creates a wall of water, accenting the main entrance with a transparent barrier. Additions of existing concrete planters provide much needed seating along the perimeter of the site.

The concept of this design is to provide an interactive spaces for families while blending the spaces with the existing space.
