Some of the older commercial structures have been converted to multiple family residential. There is a medium sized apartment building on the northern end. There are two churches on the street, one of them is an older more formal church and the other is more informal with a residential feel. The site contains one small grocery store called Metro Meats which is at a corner across from the park. We had been informed that it attracts several different groups of people. It is somewhat of a hidden gem in the neighborhood, with its famous kulbassa. Analysis

Analysis:

Image:ANALYSIS5.gif

Existing Buildings/ Structures:

- All vacant buildings that are salvageable shall be turned into useable and marketable spaces that will benefit the community and attract business to the area.

Historical aspects:

- The Ross House: continue maintenance on house and grounds, minimal change on this site. - The Barber House needs to have more purpose or use then its current site provides. Either make the building into a useable attraction on its current site or move it to the site of the Ross House and restore it.

Green Spaces/ Parks:

Maintain the current amount of Green Space and parks. The Markian Shashkevich Park should become the main focus of the Euclid area and act as a central point for the streets business.

The current site of the Barber House should be turned into a useable green space that could also be incorporated with a commercial structure on it that would use the green space as part of it’s function.

Lighting: - Current lighting is ample, but needs some repair and maintainence

Residential Areas:

Replace vacant or poor condition homes with either new single family homes or multi – family housing.

Pathways and Roads:

Clean-up and fix any poor areas in road and sidewalks. Make more of a use for the extra wide side walk areas; create a reason and purpose for wide side walks.
