Reserve Textbooks
A handy feature is the NDSU Bookstore Reserve Books option on their webpage which can be found Here. Throught this one can order and pay for textbooks at the bookstore online. It is a good way to find out what textbooks you need. Not all teachers list books with the bookstore, so you should be prepared to buy books after hearing about them in class. In addition, the bookstore posts the books as the faculty gets the information to them. Check back at a later date if the bookstore is still not listing any books for your classes.
How to Reserve Textbooks:
1. Click on“Reserve Textbooks” in the yellow box to the right.
2. Select the departments your classes fall under.
3. The page will show class call numbers and sections it has available. Select the classes you need books for.
4. The next page will show the books that the course will use. Not all of the books listed will be required for you to buy, but will instead be optional. You can choose how many of each book to buy and whether you want a new or used book.
5. Once you have selected all of the books needed and have added them to your shopping cart, you can proceed to checkout online. You will need to set up an account an account with the bookstore, but this can easily be done online.
A good way to find what books are needed though. Still need to visit bookstore to pick up books.

Other Book Sources

1. Barnes and Noble in Fargo

2. Half.com
Half.com is part of Ebay, and has a wide variety of books. In addition to buying books, it is also a good place to sell back your books. One needs to set up an account to buy or sell books. If one already has an Ebay account, it will work with Half.com.
3. Amazon.com
Amazon.com is an online bookseller similar in setup to Half.com.
4. Campusbooks.com
Campusbooks.com is a good resource in that it also list books available from other online book sellers, like the already mentioned Half.com and Amazon.com. You can compare prices much easier this way.
5. Marketplace Book Supply on Facebook
Marketplace Book Supply is an application on Facebook which allows you to list books that you are wishing to buy or sell. It appears as though the seller or buyer needs to contact the interested party to work out how to exchange books and money. It doesn't appear to have a quality or satisfaction guarentee, so be careful when using this application.
