Response to Article -The park’s architect, Cornelis Van Eesteren and landscape architect, Jacopa Mulder, were concerned with others understanding that they designed Bos Park with the thought of “how it works” versus “how it looks”.
-The biggest aspect of the article was drainage. I took from this article that when planning a project you must look into the drainage situation. The drainage played a big part in their design which caused them to change the original design.
-Positive part of the park was that they took into consideration the trees chosen and the purpose of each type. They assisted with drainage, wind, erosion, and growth of the forest area within the park.
-Dikes were later removed to encourage visitors to Bos Park, to explore all areas. With the dikes previously being in place they damper the freedom of exploring.
